Écologie de la reproduction de l’huître Crassostrea gigas en lagune méditerranéenne ArchiMer
Lagarde, Franck.
The Mediterranean lagoons host many anthropogenic uses including shellfish aquaculture since the beginning of the 20th century. Imported in 1970, the cupped oyster, Crassostrea gigas, has adapted perfectly and has allowed an important development of oyster’s industry until 2008, the year of occurence of spat outbreak related to the emergence of an Ostreid Herpes-virus μvar. The scarcity of spat and the speculation on this product changed regionally cultural practices and the supply of juveniles, with in particular the wish of developing a local activity of spat collection. However the cycle of reproduction of the species and the recruitment of juveniles were poorly known in lagoon environments. In this context, the objective of this thesis is to...

Evolution à moyen terme d'un écosystème estuarien : le bassin de Marennes-Oléron ArchiMer
Soletchnik, Patrick.
The Marennes Oléron Bay, the main French oyster culture basin, is an estuarine zone which is subject to anthropic pressure. Meteorological parameters such as temperature, insolation, pluviometry determine, for the most part, the water temperature and salinity conditions for each season and control the nutrient fluxes, as well as the primary and secondary production of the basin. The average air temperature (Météo -France) stays around 12.5°C between 1950 and 1980, then rises more than 1°C in 20 years. In those 50 years, average insolation drops from 198 hours to 176 hours, corresponding to an 11% decrease. Seasonal distribution of water inputs shows that spring pluviometry increased by 30% between the 1950's and the last two decades. Precipitations also...

Relation entre la capacité trophique de l'écosystème "claire ostréicole" et la production de l'huître Crassostrea gigas en période d'affinage ArchiMer
Soletchnik, Patrick; Razet, Daniel; Goulletquer, Philippe; Geairon, Philippe; Le Moine, Olivier; Faury, Nicole.
This study presents an environmental survey o foyster ponds in Marennes Oléron Bay (France). Physical and biological parameters were recorded in continuous to study this mesocosm (450 m2 surface). The trophic capacity of the water column was assessed and used as an imput signal in the biological model of Crassostrea gigas. Oyster production in earthen-ponds was compared to the biological model results. Simulation was carried out experimental results to investigate temperature and food effect on energetic budget of Crassostrea gigas during summer and winter
